Stability analysis of microspheres is of great significance and value for their use as drug carriers. The stability analysis can be used to better understand the preservation pathway, preservation environment and shelf life of microspheres. It can also be used to analyze the effect of solvent, pH, and temperature on the microspheres when loaded with drugs. Microsphere Stability Testing

CD Formulation provides you with stability testing of the microspheres, including whether the microspheres change significantly over time under different types of solvents. As well as providing you with long time microsphere acceleration experiments to analyze the state of the microspheres after up to several months. Organic solvent resistance test

Prepared microspheres are placed in petri dishes, soaked with organic solvents, and after a certain period of time, the microspheres are examined for morphology, as well as performance analysis. The shape and size of the microspheres are compared to the original microspheres and analyzed for changes in shape, size, and ability to release drugs.

Acid resistance test

The prepared microspheres are placed in a Petri dish, soaked in acidic solvent, and after a certain period of time, the microspheres are examined for morphology and performance analysis.

Alkaline resistance test

Similar to the organic solvent and acid resistance tests, the soaking solution is changed to alkaline, and after a certain period of time, the morphology and properties of the microspheres are analyzed.

Accelerated experiment test

In addition to the addition of different substances to the microspheres, stability testing also includes accelerated experimental testing. The specific operations include: testing the microsphere product for a longer period of time, generally setting the microsphere to be kept at a temperature higher than room temperature and humidity higher than normal air humidity. The microspheres are observed over a long period of time to analyze the changes that occur over a period of up to several months, and thus determine their stability and thus better set the shelf life.

Stability analysis of microspheres

The stability analysis of microspheres is mainly done by observing the surface and cross-sectional morphology of microspheres through SEM, observing the structure of each layer of microspheres and whether there is obvious delamination. It is also possible to analyze whether the microspheres have good structural stability as drug carriers by loading drug molecules on the microspheres and testing the solvent.
